Planning a cross-country in summer? Expect more aircraft in the sky, thanks to better weather and increased traffic over the holiday period.
Don't inadvertently fly into an aviation event:
- Check AIP Supplements for planned events.
- Check NOTAMs on the day.
Each summer the CAA also publishes a Summer traffic busy spots page on Vector Online, showing traffic hot spots and major flying events for the season – well worth a look before you head away.
