As part of your pre-start checks – and as outlined in each aircraft's checklist – make sure the aircraft is in the correct location and pointing in the correct direction before start-up.
Always check the aircraft is positioned so it won't blow exhaust gases into hangars, other aircraft or any other sensitive areas. This keeps people and equipment safe and reduces the risk of damage or hazardous situations.
